A seasoned litigator, Rachel began her career handling high-stakes multi-million-dollar catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases with a prominent plaintiff litigation firm in Coral Gables, Florida. She later transitioned to litigating as a civil defense attorney, practicing in the areas of medical malpractice, transportation, liquor liability, and premises litigation. Notably, Rachel secured a major east coast hospital system as a client, demonstrating her ability to navigate complex legal matters and client relationships.

Rachel brings an invaluable and unique perspective. She has years of experience hiring and utilizing investigators and experts in preparation for trial. Over the years she has been exposed to a wide array of professional standards, ethical issues, and competency within the private investigation space. Additionally, she understands the ethical standards lawyers are held to and what that means for the private investigator working on their cases.

In her role as Vice President of Legal & Operations at LANCAS, Rachel oversees a diverse portfolio of clients, including law firms, corporate entities, insurance carriers, and individuals, each with its own ethical guidelines and expectations. This has deepened her insight into the complexities of ethical conduct in the investigative field and reinforced her commitment to promoting professionalism, integrity, and transparency.

Her leadership extends beyond her legal and operational roles. Rachel is actively involved in various professional organizations, including the National Association of Legal Investigators and the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and has served in leadership positions such as Co-Chairing the Women In Law Committee of the FDLA and Chair of the Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee for The Florida Bar. She has served on the Judicial Nominating Commission and the served as the Florida Chair for the Southeastern Women Litigators Conference, demonstrating her commitment to advancing ethics and leadership in the legal and investigative professions.

Rachel is passionate about helping legal and investigative professionals navigate the ethical challenges they face in today’s complex landscape, particularly as technology, AI, and social media continue to reshape the industry.
