Denis deVlaming received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Ohio State University in 1969. He graduated from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1972 and is now an adjunct professor there teaching “Advanced Criminal Trial Advocacy.” He began his career as an assistant state attorney in the Sixth Judicial Circuit after which he became a criminal defense attorney. He has been practicing criminal defense exclusively since 1975.  He is the past president of the Clearwater Bar Association, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is board certified in criminal trial law. He is an avid writer and lecturer in areas that affect the practice of criminal defense.
