Jonathan Smith

Originally from a suburb of Minneapolis, Jonathan graduated from The American University in Washington, D.C. and went on to attend Marquette University Law School, graduating in 1995. Based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he has been a lawyer in the private practice of criminal defense for over 29 years. He knows Wisconsin well, having done cases in 70 of the 72 counties and has litigated in many States across the Country from Vermont to California. He has a wealth of trial experience in both State and Federal Court with over 100 jury trials to his credit, many of which have attracted national attention, including being nationally televised. He has provided commentary for local news outlets on legal matters, as well as on Court TV for other televised trials, and is often invited to speak to various legal groups throughout the Midwest on subjects related to criminal law.

Away from work, Jonathan is an avid Marquette Basketball fan and a marginal golfer who should be much better considering how often he plays.
