Title: Integrating Criminal Mitigation into Private Investigative Practice

This presentation will share how incorporating criminal mitigation into your investigative work can set you apart in a competitive field. I will break down the mitigation process and show how you, as a private investigator, can add this powerful skill set to your professional toolkit—enhancing the depth of your work and increasing your value to the attorneys you serve.

Jessica Beauchamp is a Mitigation Specialist nationwide, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Substance Use and Sex Offender Treatment Specialties in Wisconsin and a Licensed Private Investigator in Wisconsin and Michigan.   She has over 18 years of experience in human services with a foundation in law enforcement, backed by a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work.  In 2016 she founded her private mental health practice and in 2024 launched her private investigations agency, following a year of mentorship and volunteer experience with a 30-year P.I. veteran.

In addition to her clinical and investigative work, Jessica has presented to a wide range of audiences over the past decade, sharing her research and knowledge on topics spanning mental health, substance use, mitigation, ethics, and professional practice.
