Title: Skynet at the Sidebar: Artificial Intelligence and Ethical Advocacy

Artificial Intelligence is no longer science fiction; it is the new co-counsel at the defense table. Join Chief Federal Defender Dumaka Shabazz for an interactive demonstration that moves beyond abstract theory into the trenches of modern advocacy. Using the hypothetical case of “Big D,” attendees will learn how to harness the power of AI to analyze body-cam footage, audio, generate transcripts ,and synthesize records into powerful defenses and mitigation presentations. We will also confront the dark side of technology, dissecting the “hallucinations” that ruin careers and discuss the ethics of AI use.
